Acknowledgment
Environmental Defense Fund acknowledges the extraordinary generosity of Anita Goldner, a devoted environmentalist, whose estate supports our Northeast Oceans Program.
A deep dedication to teaching, coupled with a passionate commitment to charitable causes, defined the life of college professor Anita Goldner. Raised in Queens, New York, Anita was an associate professor of mathematics at Framingham State College. She was active in social justice causes, animal welfare and environmental protection.
Anita passed away in 2005. She was an active member of EDF for almost 30 years and she remembered EDF in her will. Anita’s generous legacy gift to EDF will help us restore fisheries and fish populations from New England to the Mid-Atlantic States.
